This is my two-channel listening room. The room was very noisy. The panels helped reduce reflections which warmed up the high frequencies and seemed to have improved the bass as well (most likely by just cleaning up the sound). A pair of speakers that can seem bright are many times just victims of active rooms. I used 3m 77 adhesive spray to bind the burlap to the 703. It was forgiving of mistakes and worked well. Also, I used 4 impaling clips to hang each panel. Leave the back of the 703 open and uncovered in order to use the clips. They do not pierce the burlap easily enough. - Michael

After installing almost 40 sq. feet of bass traps in the Rubicon 7 studio last week, I was expecting less bass...but it turns out that quite a few of the problems were heavy nulls that have now gone away making the low end so much fuller and more even. In addition to the front wall and the first order reflections on the side, the entire back wall and corners are covered by 2" to 4" of traps. I’ll post more about it on the http://www.rubicon7.net/ website in case anyone is interested in how we did it, how ATS is awesome, and what lessons we learned along the way. ATS Acoustics now has a customer for life! - Brandon

Our panels are up and we believe they helped a lot. We had some windows, and sound system sound booth overhang to work around. This is why it looks like it does. It really helped the echo even just putting on the back wall of the sanctuary. - Harvest Bible Church

Hi All- I’m new to this home theater technology, but fortunate to have a great AV guy who has done an excellent job. I relied on him re: the ’’science’’ of acoustics and wanted movie poster (scanned) panels to accentuate that theater ambiance. The first 4 were done ’’prior’’ to me finding ATS; they were merely OK, but one was printed lopsided and ’’I’’ had to correct it using some artistic acumen and colored Magic Marker. The company did NOT make good on their word to fix this nor return my posters used.ATS printed a ’’finer’’ (resolution) result, perfectly symetrical, AND, mounts the panel to luan backer wood for rigidity; a total CLASS ACT and at HALF the cost of the previous ones, and 1/3rd the costof another high-end supplier who couldn’t have done better! BRAVO to your very kind, helpful and ’’capable’’ team! My Best, Lar W. - Larry from Queensbury, New York

Hi guys. I just wanted to leave a comment to tell you how happy I am with the corner bass traps you made for me. I have spent a significant amount of money to upgrade everything from my amp, speakers, source and cables in the never ending quest to reach the musical reproduction heard at live events. No one purchase has made a greater leap towards that goal then your bass traps. Having a room that isn’t an ideal shape (12 x 14 x 8) creates problems like standing bass nodes, bass suck out and room loading that wreak havoc on imaging, soundstage and focus. After placing the corner traps, floor to ceiling behind the speakers, those issues disappeared. I’m hearing new details in recording I’ve listened to hundreds of times before. It’s as if the bass traps were acting like a vacuum, sucking up all the standing and reflecting sound waves that degrading the sound. A new component would have never been able to achieve the same results. With many thanks Mark - Mark from Thornhill, Ontario

I recently built a home for my daughter with a large family room, dining room and kitchen. The room is about 900 sq ft with 12 foot ceilings. The room is a loft like room and is all hardwood floors with 2 area rugs. The room was very live with a great deal of echo. I’ve built a couple of dedicated home theaters and used Owens Cornings acoustic panels and bass traps. I am fairly versed in acoustic panels and I knew my daughter’s home would need acoustic treatment. She did not want just plain panels in this large live room/ I just purchased 6 of the graphic coffee bag panels in a 2 ft by 2 ft configuration. I purchased one 2 ft by 4 ft plain panel. Above the kitchen cabinets is a gap of about 3 feet to the ceiling. I placed 3 of the 2x4 Owens Corning 703 panels horizontally and they were hidden by crown modeling on the upper cabinets. The result was remarkable. The echo is gone and the tv and movie dialogue have improved immensely. The coffee panels are very interesting and my daughter’s loves them. Customer service was excellent and the price was very reasonable. I could not be happier. I will use their products on other homes that I will be building. - bruce from perrysburg, Ohio

I recommend ATS Acoustics to anyone building a studio on a budget. I’ve been on many websites searching for acoustic treatment that fit my budget, and by far ATS has the lowest price range. Don’t let the low price question the quality. I’m leaving my comment to say they products ’’really’’ works. I’ve been mixing my own music for 3yrs now, and could never get my mixes translate well outside my home studio until now. The 4’’ panels in corners works very well on the low end. Whats so amazing, I didn’t have to spend thousands of dollars to get professional quality recordings. Thanks ATS looking to buy more in the future. - Andrew from Ponchatoula, Louisiana

I have ordered from your company more than once, and each time the product comes as described in a well packaged box and a very fast pace! Your products are an absolute essential in my studio and I will no longer order acoustical products from anyone else. You have won yourself a long term relationship with me! Thanks so much. -tony g - Tony from Murfreesboro, Tennessee

Thanks. Many Thanks! Having the panels shipped to my door in Canada for less than I could build them was my initial motivation. The quality of the construction and ease of hanging them were an unexpected bonus. 3 2X4X4’’ panels (corners and rear wall) and 2 2X4X2’’ panels (side reflection points) have cleaned up the sound in my 13X15 HT room far past my expectations. On opening the packages (very well packed, by the way) I thought the rich looking wine micro suede was going to be reflective and I was initially concerned. Hanging the panels while listening to some favorite tunes, I noticed improvement as each panel went up, the improvement was cumulative as was my excitement. I’m now hearing sound in my music collection that I never knew was there. Thank you for a great product that is affordable. This is definitely the best ’’bang for the buck’’ investment I have made for my home theater. - Terry from Medicine Hat, Alberta

Just installed the 24 x 48 Wine Microsuede and I have to say they work great. Sound in my HT is much improved. My HT is actually a living room and I installed seven panels and my family was very impressed. The wife was actually pleased with the appearance of these panels. For the price and functionality you cannot beat the ATS panels. They are very well made and the appearance is top notch. Great job ATS! - Roger from Decatur, Michigan

After reading all the comments by musicians and audiophiles, I thought I’d drop a line to mention how well your 24x48x2 mineral boards worked in a different type of application. I installed a 45KW diesel generator set in a shed in my back yard with the mineral board installed between the studs on the walls and roof. Prior to the installation, the plywood that made up the walls of the shed were vibrating and acting as a speaker to retransmit sound to the neighborhood. After installing the minearal board the sound pressure levels allow one to stand outside the shed and speak in living room levels (and be heard perfectly). At 75 feet you can’t tell where the sound source is located, and at 150 feet the diesel sound blends in with background noise during the day, and cannot be heard. This is an amazing product and I will be buying more because I want to sound proof further. Thanks for a great product and great customer service! - Allen from Greenville, South Carolina

I bought nine 24’’x48’’ panels for a home theater room in microsuede and haven’t looked back since. The panels transformed the sound in my room that has stained concrete floors. All the echo is gone. The fabric, fit and finish, price and function have been perfect! If you have ever searched for acoustic panels online, you know how expensive they can be. ATS’s pricing can’t be beat. And, no, this wasn’t a comment written by an ATS employee. I am a real customer! - Paul from Boerne, Texas

Overall, I bought around (29) 2x4 frames both 2’’ & 4’’ and have been very pleased with the cost effectiveness of DIY’ing these modules. Rather than taking the time & material to build the frames I bought them pre-built from ATS. Glad I did. Between the wall mount AFB and the corner Roxul Rockboard insulation applications, I have transformed a highly reflective room into a very decent recording environment. Your Microsuede panels are as beautiful as they are effective. My flutter echo and high-frequency woes are long gone, but the panels are attractive enough that my living room looks better with them installed. I’m overjoyed with my panels, and wish I’d placed this order a long time ago. Thanks, ATS! - Will from Boulder, Colorado

I’m impressed with the improvements in sound quality to my audio system. So far I’ve got four acoustic panels to address the first reflections. I hope to add more in the future. I have a photo I can send of my listening room which shows the acoustic panels in place. Please let me know where to send it. - Vishal from Lincoln, Nebraska

I finished construction on my basement drum studio about a year ago. Right after that I outfitted the room with many various ATS panels on the walls, ceiling (2’’-thick) and corners (4’’-thick, open-backed). They really cleared up the sound of the room! In that time I’ve recorded dozens of drum tracks for various artists and producers, and despite the relatively low (just under 8 feet) ceiling, the tracks have all come out sounding stellar. I can even use room mics in omni, and they sound great! Some of my engineer friends with ’’golden ears’’ have given me compliments on the sound of the room. The two added bonuses are that the panels look wonderful--totally pro--and they didn’t break my bank. I’m recommending you guys to everyone I can. Thank you!!! - Tom from Chicago area, Illinois
